Last weekend, 6 members of MVFD traveled to Charlottesville to participate in the VEHEXT (Vehicle Extrication) class offered by Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad. This 3 day course offered challenging scenarios that sharpened the skills of our members. MVFD is home to Squad-2 (pictured), which is a specialty piece of apparatus carrying tools and equipment for handling complex technical rescue situations. The training these members received is invaluable and the skills and knowledge obtained are a great asset to our community.
