Yesterday, that pride was on full display as M.V.F.D. debuted our brand new Engine-2โ€”a rig designed with patience, discipline, and intention. Every detail was built to support aggressive, efficient firefighting and to protect the citizens of Mineral and Louisa County.

A proud tradition in the fire service is friendly competition between companies, and our members brought their best to the Colonial Beach Firemanโ€™s Parade. After countless hours preparing the rig, shining tools, inspecting gear, and squaring away uniforms, our crew was judged across several categories:
๐Ÿš’ Vehicle โ€“ cleanliness and function
๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš’ Personnel โ€“ appearance, PPE, and uniforms
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Equipment โ€“ quality, maintenance, and layout
๐Ÿ“š Knowledge โ€“ firefighting know-how

Weโ€™re proud to share that M.V.F.D. was awarded:
๐Ÿ† First Place โ€“ Best Appearing Engine Company
๐Ÿ† The Charles Catlett Award โ€“ Best Appearing Pierce

Weโ€™re grateful for the continued fellowship with the Colonial Beach Firemanโ€™s Department, a bond built over decades.

These awards are just a small reflection of the high standards, pride, and service that the citizens of Mineral and Louisa County can expect from their volunteers.

M.V.F.D. โ€“ Tradition. Discipline. Service.
